Another letter to Transglobal’s manager

After calling Transglobal back and asking for the manager to call me, I just sent this email to the customer service address. Hello, I’m addressing this to Julie, the manager at Transglobal as I understand from quickly talking to her. Julie, you asked me on the phone whether there was anything that you could do […]

Ok Transglobal, you can go away now

I’m working from home today, and transglobal just left a message on our home phone, an automated one asking us to return their call about “a replacement for our product”. Umm, been there, done that, on Saturday. Why are you people calling me again?

WordPress updated

I just upgraded from a very old version of wordpress on this blog to the latest, and I must say that I’m very impressed with how simple the upgrade was. All software should be, at a minimum, this simple to upgrade if not more. Nicely done people.

And, we have a new Fridge

To our moderate surprise, the replacement fridge arrived at roughly 11am today. The guys took out the old fridge and brought in the new one with sufficient care, and we started pulling off all of the tape and styrofoam packing. We didn’t have to do any assembly, just get all of the tape and plastic […]

The Brick delivery scheduled…again

So, the store manager at The Brick never called. I gave up and called the store, and someone there did follow up with me and confirm that we are, in fact, receiving the actual replacement refrigerator tomorrow, and not the loaner, since it’s all been confirmed now. Dianne also called more than once to see […]

A call from Transglobal’s manager

Well, as promised, the manager of Transglobal Service called me at my desk a few minutes ago. She apologized for the situation, tried to explain it to some extent (computer problems), and asked me if I knew about their food spoilage form. I told the truth, that we’ve managed to keep our food from spoiling […]

Well, Dianne proved me wrong

Well, as I said yesterday, I’ve lost all faith in The Brick, Transglobal and all of their employees to accomplish their jobs with even the most basic competency. I didn’t think I’d get a call this morning from Dianne, I’ve been bitten too many times. Well, she proved me wrong. She even quoted our RA […]

So close, and yet so far, The Brick shines in incompetence

Ok, so we thought it was all worked-out and on Saturday we were receiving our new refrigerator. We went to Jaan’s baseball game, came home, and found a message waiting on our machine from…The Brick. I paraphrase: Transglobal called us and told us to cancel sending the fridge to you on Saturday, as they’re still […]

Possibly a resolution from The Brick?

So, last night we finalized a replacement for the refrigerator with The Brick. It’s a GE model, slightly more expensive than the one that we had, but The Brick agreed to pick up the difference. They won’t be charging us for shipping, and we told them we’d dispose of the existing fridge ourselves, since they […]

Progress with The Brick is apparently an Oxymoron

So, it’s been a fun, fun day. Intially we got our hopes up, since apparently the manufacturer offered a decent replacement for the fridge, and we just had to go into the store and set it up. Maria called, and now apparently since the new fridge is more expensive than the old fridge, The Brick […]
