Possibly a resolution from The Brick?

So, last night we finalized a replacement for the refrigerator with The Brick. It’s a GE model, slightly more expensive than the one that we had, but The Brick agreed to pick up the difference. They won’t be charging us for shipping, and we told them we’d dispose of the existing fridge ourselves, since they wanted $25 for that. Maria already has someone on freecycle willing to pick it up for nothing.

We dropped by in person today to pick up a paper copy of the invoice, and cancel the extended warranty. Given our experience, I think that I’d rather go without. Statistically, the chance of two fridges failing before 5-years is unlikely, but we could buy an extended warranty from the manufacturer instead of The Brick. GE’s is cheaper.
